Why do my campaign emails bounce?

Email campaigns are one of the strongest tools in current marketing, because you can generate good conversions, traffic flow, loyalty and get new contacts.

But on many occasions these emails do not reach their recipients and what we call the “Rebound” happens. It’s important to analyze why this happens to our shipments and try to find a solution.

There are two types of mistakes that lead us to rebounding:

Hard Bounces:

It’s the well-know Error 500, this is definitive and occurs because the email address does not exist, the recipient has blocked the sender, the account is blocked or that there is a high index that the sender may be fraudulent or spam.

Soft Bounces:

They are specific errors, such as errors 400, for which the message has not reached the recipient due to internet connection problems, the mailbox is full or the server is saturated.

How to prevent emails from bouncing?

In the case of hard bounce errors, it’s difficult to reach the recipient but in the case of the soft bounces, it is in our power that the sender does not lose our information.

TIPS:

  • Keep Database updated
  • Forward emails to temporary failures
  • Segment the sendings of emails appropriately
  • Use special tools or contact specialists in the sector
