 1. Inbox reputation

Please, just please, DON’T YELL AT ME ! Besides, the common sense, just use caps, when it’s really needed. I understand you want to build urgency, but all the user getting is a little bit more anxious.

This does not work for a number of reasons. The relationship between you and who is receiving the email must be special, the customers must feel like they are important, because at the end of the day they have the money and the power to decide where to spend them.

Address the users with their names, or if you want to be formal with their surname

 4. Make unsubscribing hard

If the person wants to unsubscribe, let them. Yes, it is bad for your lead generation, but at the end it’s their decision. The pool is still full of fish.

Please, don’t make it worse with messages such as “please don’t go” or “are you really sure you want to unsubscribe”.

Just let them be!
